I worked for a farmer when i was a kid that migrated from Russian with his dad. He told me a story of how his dad would fill a jar on his bedroom dresser with coins and they would disappear when they got full. He said he would never tell him where the jars were buried . Even when he got older and was getting sick he wouldn't tell him. Well he didn't get better one time and passed away. He told me he looked for the jars of coins and never found them. He sold that farm and bought another one in that area that i worked on for him. I told him i had a metal detector and wanted to look for the jars, he told me where the farm was at. I went to the farm that his dad had owned, but couldn't get permission from the new owner . The caches are out there.

The great Kentucky hoard

I truly envy this guy in KY. and the couple in CA. who found there gold coins upon their own property. They are very fortunate to be able to share. Both were great finds...! Many such finds can't be shared when found because of that reason. But I'm glad they could.

What an awesome story. If I found this on my property not a soul would hear about it but there would be signs. Like 20 new busted projects cars parked next to my barn extension.

Under that scenario you'd have that choice... but when found on someone else's property that closes that door or it should. Less is more instantly if you play it smart. Hard to broadcast with pics and video if it wasn't on your property. Bad questions are soon forthcoming. But I agree with YOUR "signs"... :laughing7:
