oh yeah we dug one big nice hole, someone else dug holes everywhere we just moved a sift pile up front and dug under it.

Nice Kentucky Finds. What is the thing in the next to last picture? Keith.

it is a big molar, my buddy has found some bear teeth in the same cave, awesome not knowing whats going to show up

Yeah. I thought that was a tooth/molar. And it is a egg hunt at that!

Nice dig finds. When you hit rock the dig is not over. I’ve visited the Meadowcroft Rockshelter and many great finds were below past roof collapse incidents. The old stuff may be below old rock/roof collapses. Good luck on future digs.

Always fun to see the shelter digs. You never know what is going to come out of there. Keep us posted. If you decide to build a fire to stay warm make sure it is outside the shelter. That is what caused a lot of the roofs to collapse. The change in temp popped off upper layers.
Have fun!

3rd pic has a big nutting stone just outside the cave, we dug right at the edge of outside of the overhang at thje highest part. what are some hotspots or secret part of these things, thanks

Nice shelter finds man, that looks like a primo shelter to sift. With all this snow I'm thinking about switching gears and sift a couple myself. There are tons of shelters and caves in the karst topo in my area.
