Detector(s) used
Whites M6 - Standard coil & Super 12
When it gets to cold to go out and swing the MDer, I use the following high tech tools to keep sharp on the tones for clad and junk. It's highly sophisticated so I hope the picture does it justice. As far as gold and silver are concerned I just use coins or rings that I've found. I know the tones are a little different because of the items not being in the ground but it's very close. I just wave the item under my coil and listen to the tones and take note of the VDI. By the way, this is my first post on TN and I wanted to say hello to all of you!

DirkSears,

welcome.

Agree, we must all do something during
the winter.

Don't think I could sit around many nights
over the winter using your system. I have my own.

I sit around with a snack of wine, sausage, and cheese
while looking at my detectors. ;)

I listen for the tones the wine bottle makes as I tap
it after each glass.

have a good un........

So............how long have you been working at Lowes? :D

I don't have to hibernate here in NW Florida just put on a coat and enjoy detecting without the nuisance of bugs everywhere.

Wow....that's pretty high tech.....and very sophisticated......I think I'll just sit in the chatroom this winter....and NOT talk about detecting. :D ::)

Welcome to Tnet, Dirky!! :)

Great system. Keeps you from having to get your hands dirty, that's for sure. I live in Louisiana where we have four, very distinct seasons. Summer, Still Summer, STILL Summer, and Christmas.
