It could be a cat, appears to be a leg/paw, middle left - in the pic.
Is it about a nursery rhyme?

Looks interesting. The crescent gives it a middle east look.
Does it have any markings?

Mike, thanks for your comment. I re-scanned the pin, adding the reverse, no markings at all, just spots of green corrosion. The center of stars were punched with a tiny serrated punch. Could be a nursery rhyme.. PC

This is a pin or membership badge of the Daughters of Rebekah, or International Association of Rebekah Assemblies, the ladies auxiliary of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows fraternal organization. Compare it to the second example from the left, in the second row at:

(Notice how the "owl" becomes an "R" for Rebekah when the pin is rotated to its correct orientation.)
