That's really neat! Thanks for sharing them with us!

That's a nice collection of old miners tools. Sometimes I think I'd rather find an old tool than anything else. I really get excited. Friends think I've found Gold when all I have is a tool or piece of a tool.

Great set of tools. It's surprising they aren't rustier after all those years under ground. Around here, the tools I find are very rusty.

Morning pistol-pete,
Now that picture brings back some memories of crawling around the hills and finding "stuff" from the old days. I've a few items myself of yester years tools and looking at yours has brought back memories of bygone hikes and finds. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.........63bkpkr

Out West in such dry environments, iron comes out of the ground looking really good. I would move west JUST to recover the iron relics that are destroyed over here in the South or East. Gun parts, tools, utensils...

GREAT stuff!

Congrats,

Buck

Nice haul Pete,

I have my Great-Great Grandfather's US Army issue fork and knife. He served in the Span-Am War 1898-1899. His knife and fork look exactly like yours. Hope that helps you date the site. Take care, Sub

Those are Great Finds! I found a large U.S Navy spoon with my first Fisher Gold bug years ago on a remote river Bank in Alaska...about a foot down. It's cool to stand and think of the person that lost this stuff so long ago and that somehow we just connected with them.
Thanks for the Pics.
Dave

Thanks! I really like seeing those old tools! And the old knife & fork remind me that it was real guys who were working those mines in often primitive conditions all those years ago. Hope you'll post more of your finds soon. HH Andi
