Detector(s) used
Compass Yukon 77B | Bounty Hunter 8900 | Whites Eagle II SL | Whites GMT |Whites v3
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Well, I bought a new detector last year with the intent of finding all the spare gold that was just hanging around the Juneau area needing gathering. I also brushed off my old Spectrum Eagle II intending to discover who knows what. However, I had a grand total of zero (0) detecting days last summer. So, to console myself I decided to go through some of the coins my father and I collected over the years, and that I inherited after he died three years ago.

My father and I were not "collectors", rather we were gatherers, placing the coins in coffee cans and spare ammo boxes. We never really looked at dates, we just wanted silver, old pennies, and unique stuff. Some of the coins were from years of metal detecting with an old Compass Yukon 771B, which I still have and use. I doubt that any of the following were found with a detector.

I have really no idea as to grade, and how to estimate the grade of a coin. I picked a few of the best CC's to post in the hopes that someone could tell me if any of the posted coins are worth having graded. I have looked at the values online and some may be of value. But I have no clue where the grade falls, so have no idea of the true value. (Of course, if any are valuable I already know which new detector will soon be in my hands ;D).

Thanks!

Hard to tell from your pictures on the last two, but I'd say each is worth a couple hundred bucks.

As an eBay Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
First one if graded by PCGS could probably fetch around $300ish
2nd one around $200 or so
Third one maybe up to $400, between $300 and $400 for sure I'd imagine. These prices could be slightly inflated also.

You could easily sell all 3, graded by PCGS or NGC for $600 total.

That being said, I'll give you $200 for all of them right now :o :D

Just razzing you bro

first one 400.00 id say give er take a little
second one 225.00 id say give er take a little
third one 670.00 give er take a little
total 1295.00
this is from the 2008 red book

If you were to put them on ebay you would get probably 1000.00 or so.
just a guess
or if you want to sell them put them on tnets for sale and see what offers you get
BUT ID KEEP THEM

Thanks everyone. I am not sure what I am going to do with the coins. But, it is fun looking through them, so maybe my kids will get them when the time comes.
