Just saying Hello

I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell everyone on the board hello. I came across this site while looking up stuff on Oak Island. I remember seeing a show about it and just wanted to look it up again.Its an Interesting story. Anyways I'm 33 and never owned a MD. In fact I always thought it was funny to watch people on the beach collecting loose change. But I am absolutly addicted to seeing what you people are finding everyday. I think when I actually do start I'm going to collect alot of old coins. I could use a hobby I have a collecting streak in me, I still collect hockey cards and things and I really love OLD objects, but I'm not sure why. I live in Maryland right on the Delaware line and there was a plane crash in the 60's about two minutes from my house that would be fun/creepy to check out lol anyways I just wanted to say hello to everybody

I'm new to this hobby as well, about two months in or so, and let me tell you, the exercise is great! Lots of walking and digging, by the end of your first day you'll be sore and exhausted. But it's so good to have a hobby that is fun and lets you burn off some of those extra calories you've been carrying around for a while. WELCOME!!!!!

Welcome to the forum. Get a good MD and head out there, the plane crash site would be interesting but I would also cheek out Civil War activity in your area. Relic hunting is fun to research and learn about the war, plus you can still find great relics.

Yes, it is funny to watch people collecting loose change on the beach....but it isn't so funny when they're collecting loose gold and silver on the beach.

Read everything you can, get a detector and get out there....There's treasures to be found!
