Got out for a bit today to take advantage of the reprieve from winter. Spent a couple-3 hours taking my AT out for it's walk. He sniffed out quite a bit but absolutely nothing very old. Clad, pull tabs, junk, and a light.

BUT, somehow, I am feeling quite happy. I wonder why. ;)

The light was an eyeball find and it gave me the idea.

Ya see? One doesn't "have" to have a stupendous find to post. Most of us know that this, is a more normal day.

Thanks for peeking.

That's true, this is a normal day... I wonder how many people get on this site & think they'll find good stuff all the time, then they get a detector & reality hits. At least you got some battery money!

Yep, I know. Last year I found a lot of neat finds, (even have a couple this year already). But, I also found around 15 pounds of clad coinage too. Gotta play for those batteries somehow! :)

Thanks for the response. Probably be the only one I get on this BORING but quite the normal day. :)

I've tried using rechargeable, they aren't as strong as new batteries nor do they last as long. One more thing, when they fall off, they dive over the cliff!!! :)
I figure I've found enough to cover batteries for quite some time. The ultimate lithium's are lasting me from 3 to 5 hunts. Average, about 5 hours per hunt. Then, they start showing as less than full on the meter and I usually replace. Haven't let them go all the way down yet. :)

Think the sheriff would like a blinking, red, warning light for his hat? ;)
