Wow, Awesome broke piece, Ill try to get a photo of one I have that is almost identical posted later.

Yes still a good find. Just knowing that a whole one might be around the corner. Nice insitu also !

Old break? That's one of those pieces that would be worth sifting the area to see if the tip is there, it's a long shot but the odds are probably better than winning the lottery.

Joshua

Here is the twin to your point, and yes i was sick when I found it also.

Man what a shame...still one heck of a find. I'm with Joshua, if that break looks recent I think it's worth it to really pick through that area some more. Think it's an Agate Basin? Perfect squared off base.

Yes. Agate Basin.
You can imagine my excitement when I saw it.
I have one other almost the same but thicker and broken too.
Here's a pic of it.
I'm gonna get a better camera so I can take good insitus.

i would frequent that area, too good of a piece not to keep looking for the tip

If you hunt the same ground regular, its possible to find the other half. A guy I know found two halves a year apart.

Molly.

Nice find! even broke you can look at it and tell what it looked like.I found an agate basin in
Licking County Ohio snapped into was made out of milky trans parent flintridge it was a true
heartbreaker.
