Just missed out by a day

My wife & I were on our way back home from Portland this afternoon & stopped in Hood River, OR. Ran accross a construction crew replacing 3 blocks of sidewalk surrounded by 100 plus year old buildings. Said I could have detected & dug my heart out all week, but they were just finishing final compacting before they re- pour the walks in the AM. It could have been a great site. Rats!!!
