reminds me of the drive gear off a fishing reel ----the Zebcos used the metal gears kinda like that

Sure looks like one although it's a little big. Any lakes around the airstrip aa?

looks like it came from an old windshield that opened from the bottem...arms on the side had thumb screws that held it open or closed.

I agree. I think you got it.
aa, check the center hole to see if its the same size as a socket extension or ratchet. It will either be 1/4, 3/8, or 1/2 inch drives.
