I finally got a chance to explore some really rough country since the weather had gotten cold. Much too snakey when it's warm. A friend and I walked about a 1/2 mile or so to some rock cliffs on Tygart Creek. Very hard to get to. Right away I found a great spot, anyone looking for a nice place to rest and look at the creek far below would sit here. Right away a I got a hit, steady 78 / 80 on the ATP. I thought wow, this has to be something great ! It was a 1980 penny ! Bummer ! We made our way around the cliff and found a pretty large overhanging rock house. I got a great signal between two rocks and thought again, whoa, this has got to be good. It was a coin spill, but all clad from the 60's & 70's. :sad smiley: I had a great day and came away with the thought that my meager finds could had just as easily been something great from Boone and Kenton's time. Just gotta keep looking.
