Hey everyone,

I just got my Super 12 about 15 minutes ago! Just a little birthday present to myself. Before I took it out, I had a few questions. First, I have been reading that the pinpointing is affected since it isnt the stock coil. If that's actually true, how is it affected? Second, I read that you have to turn the sensitivity down when using it. Is that also true? If anyone has any other advice, just throw it out there!

Thanks,
Codes

I only had my Super 12 about a month. I don't remember about the pinpointing but I think it was almost dead center. Yes, it was quite chatty. But, that was in a city park. I can only imagine it should be pretty good in a clean area, then you should be able to crank up that gain.

I'd love to have one but the areas I hunt are pretty trashy & the ground has a fairly high degree of mineralization which contraindicates a large coil. The 9.5 is too much sometimes.

Let us know what you think of it, Codes.

I got before the LBH and used it almost all the time. I ran it normal. no problems at all, great depth, 12+ inches on heavy piece of wire.
pinpoint is dead on.
So, in a nutshell I love it

I just got my new DFX 300 yesterday. I just had to go out and try it after work. I must say that if you pay attention to your pinpoint and do it right, it is dead on. But, I did notice that it is very sensitive and really needs to be worked very slowly in a trashy area. I did pull a few clad at about 8"+ in areas where I had previously gone over with the XLT. I set my preamp at about a 2 or 3 and I was able to set the AC at about 70. There is definitely a learning curve with the new coil and machine. Good luck.

Turn the sensetivity up till unstable and then back down a tiny bit..Pinpointing is easy and the only thing is the depth reading maybe off..

one thing I found out is awesome, is turn on your DC Phase, that way when you pinpoint it'll give a VDI
