Just Got my Oldest Permission to Date!

Just got permission over the phone to detect a very old property in Upstate NY. Probably going to check it out in the spring. The house on the property was built in 1778 and sits on 2.5 acres. All mine free to hunt and take whatever I find. The owner says he's never had a detectorist there before so I expect that it's all still virgin ground! Can't wait for spring!

Just a connection I made through casual conversation with teachers at a local school. I expressed my interest in history and finding artifacts with a metal detector and one of the teachers said a friend of hers owns a Revolutionary War-Era plantation house upstate. So I got the guy's number, called him, told him about my conversation with his friend and he agreed to let me detect. I'm stoked!
