I honestly have no idea what this is. I found it at a beach when I was 7. On one side, there are small white pebble-like things. The other side is flat with a spiral pattern. I have asked others what they think it is, but nobody really knows. Some who I have asked said that it may be a fossil, although I am unsure if that is it. I'm just curious as to what it is, and would love if someone could perhaps find an answer. Sorry if the photos aren't the best quality. Thanks!!! :)

Some type of snail?

My friends and I have said that it kind of looks like it could have been a snail shell, and I guess that's the best answer so far?

Hm, I can't seem to find any pictures that look similar to the curved side. Maybe somebody else could help find what shell it came from? Or perhaps its just been worn down? The cat's eye operculums are quite pretty, by the way! :)

The brown side would have been attached to the snail. You would have to go through the various snails of the area it was found, I assume Australia? If so you would be doing a search of seashells of the Pacific. My WAG would be a Great Green Turban. It is going to be in the "Turban" family of shells.

Thank you! I think I've found where it comes from! The operculum looks the same as one from the Turbo Sarmaticus! Thank you again! :)
