Just curiou about an old MD

This the MD that got me hooked it belonged to my uncle, not sure how old it is. I was just wondering if anyone on here knows anything about it. It just recently died on me and thats what made me go buy a new detector the Whites prism IV. The only thing that is on the MD is in the meter box it says Techna Inc. El Paso Texas. Pretty sure thats the company but I tried lookin it up and I couldn't find anything. Heres a couple of pics.
