Just bought some junk US silver halves

Paid 10.2 X face for nice quality 90% Kennedys. Dealer 30 miles away. Seemed to be a decent price, $100 face. That place was packed on a Saturday and the first time I've seen a rent-a-cop there. From their quotes, they seem to beat any prices I've seen on-line (at that quantity) and much better than E-pay where $10 face Kennedys are selling for $110-115 a roll, not including S/H.

I bought them for an investment, not much numismatic value to a '64 Kennedy. Usually there is not much, if any, wear on them. Some look BU, others so tarnished that they are black. I dip those and they come out looking fresh from the mint. I like to find them at face value, but $4-5 ea is a normal price. AMC
