I stopped at a church locally and recieved permission to detect. I had been detecting for about an hour with nothing more than a couple dollars in clad and a lawnmower bitten watch. The groundskeeper came up and was wondering how I was doing and stopped and chatted with him, just being friendly. I showed him my finds, explained what I was doing and showed him how the detector worked. He looked at the few coins I had(5 quarters and a couple dimes and six nickels), handed them back and said he had a house(built 1870's) in the country with 1 1/2 acres to hunt if I wanted to. He wants to spit 50/50 and I had no problem. He also said someone has detected it in the late 70's and had found two barber Halfs, a Barber quarter, a couple Barber dimes and a dime with liberty lady sitting. Just by taking the time and chatting I've got a new place to hunt with potential. I may not find a thing, but if I don't look I won't have the chance!!
