It's black flint. We find lots of it around here, probably more than any other color.

Nice collection, the black flint is probably Coshocton as it is a very common and widely used Ohio material.

Some nice pieces in the group, that smaller blade looks nice second from left on the top row. Third from left on the bottom looks like a nice Hopewell. The Cosh blade and celt are also good pieces. How about a closer look at the blade on top if you get a chance. Thanks for the look.

It could be Coshocton but I'm leaning towards Zaleski. The camera does it no justice, it's jet black with no trace of any other color through it.

The smaller blade on top is very thin and well made, I will dig it out and get a closer shot for ya when I get home this evening. Thanks for the help in ID's.

Thanks for the reply Jeff, what exactly is the Table Rock your referring too? Is it the material or just a point type?
