as this new green energy thing gets rollling guess what?????? They're gonna be needing aluminum and copper out the yingyang.

Think about it, windmills, solar panels and all the other things that steel will be useless for. The prices are gonna go beserk.

hopefully it won't be too much longer before the gates open wide.

Yep, Obama's policies will even have a trickle down effect iway down-under where I come from as we export mountains or ore and scrap to China
to help build America.

I've been chasing this windmill dream for a few weeks now. For my business is was sold that there is a lot of money to be made. Here's what I found:

all of the windmills are made in Denmark ... go figure
all of the parts are kitted up and sent here
all of the warranty parts come from Denmark

maybe some parts will be made here, but it has been a huge disappointment so far. Seems that it may be an exclusive club of people who will benefit. Typical Illinois politician now president with the pay to play plan.

oh well, hopefully it helps the scrap, doesn't do much for the local manufactures, just the building contractors and some area businesses to support it. But we still will buy it from over seas.

Either way, they're gonna need aluminum in Denmark.

There are companies here in the US that make some of the windmills (large KW output) I know Arizona Public Service has been experimenting with wind & solar for quite awhile now. If I recall correctly when I was out there last, some of the windmills they had were made in California. There also was a company in Palm Springs that was selling kits for a fair price. The payback was only like 1 1/2 years. Guess that's pretty good for off grid power. Didn't pan out for me, solar was a better option due to lack of constant wind etc.
