Just A "Coppa" kind of day!!

These three little beauties were about 7 to 8 inches down, My machine was makeing just the sounds I like to hear when hunting some old foundations. Can only read 1822 on one, another maybe an 1815, needs more peroxide to tell, Sorry no pics of the site, hopefully ill bring my camera next time and explain more about the site as more things are found, The bell is a 4 pedal crotal w/ only the markings of ( & Co ) and size 6. also found a few recent drops, a round tuning harmonica and a Purina pocket knife, did the best I could with the pics,
enjoy,

A triple Large Cent hunt is always a great hunt! I hope you get firm dates off the other two, the one does look like 181 something.

Re: Just A "Coppa" kind of day!!

These were all pulled out of a 10X10 section next to an old driveway that led to some foundations. Through some recent research I decided to check out an old abandoned road where a few farms once stood, ...story goes" It was a small community of early settlers that abandoned thier farms during the great depression.....Story also goes that this place has been hunted to death, and what do i see the first time I go up there?....another guy with a detector, LOL...we chatted a bit, then went about our oun seperate hunts, ... so i was very surprised when 20 mins later i have 3 LCs in my pocket. Im kicking myself because i didnt bring my camera w/me....there are some very cool cellar holes up there. I soaked the coins in peroxide over night, not much of a difference, just not sure if i want to attempt another soaking.

Hopefully soon ill have some more finds and
pics
thanks
