Went back to the house where I found the Sword Belt Plate last week and this time I took the troops. My good friends Eric and Roger went along with my wife Becky and I to see if they would have any luck. We got out there about 9am and detected for 3 hours. It was pretty hot out there today and the finds weren't showing themselves other than the Civil War Rifleman Button and a nice 1839O Seated Dime. I hope Roger and Eric had a good time, would love to do it again sometime.
This is only my 2nd Seated coin I have ever found and it is by far the oldest Silver I have ever found. The button is unique because of the nail through the shank on the back still holding a piece of either leather or material.
