...I almost threw this away...at first glance it looked like can slaw..it came up in about 25 pieces..it is a very thin metal...maybe copper or maybe brass ...I do not know....my hunting buddy thought that it was made out of tin??....if one looks close on the individual pieces that seems to be a series of stamped images which looks like to be Flames..before this was smashed it looks like it may have circular shaped......any help would be appreciated...it was found at an old church site and some of the coins in the area were dated 1909 thru 1919....Thanks Joe flame brass 001.webp

Part of a light fixture I would guess. Hit by a lawn mower, rototiller, hungry goat who had second thoughts?

Maybe it was a candle holder. Very decorative, built to last. Shame it was destroyed.

What are you waiting for Joe. Start putting that puzzle together. Looks like a good challenge for a rainy day. Or the long NE winters.
