When I was in college (84'-87') I was on the committee that helped with the concerts held at the school. I was basically a roadie helping the guys load in and out and helping them figure stuff out on campus. One of the bands that came through was these guys. They were by far the nicest and coolest bunch. I remember John had to wear these huge mechanical looking knee braces on both knees because he needed surgery but was waiting until after the tour to have it done. The other bands I worked with were Huey Lewis & The News right before Sports was released, Herbie Hancock, Kixx, The Hooters, Peter Paul & Mary, and John Sebastian. John Sebastian and PP&M were there together and I upset both of them. I asked John what it was like being in the studio with The Doors...knowing he played harmonica on Roadhouse Blues. He freaked out on me and kicked me out of his area which was a locker room in our gym lol. Mary Travers also threw me out because I asked if Puff The Magic Dragon was on the set list lmao.
