NEW YORK (AP) — Joe Cocker, the raspy-voiced British singer known for his frenzied cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends," the teary ballad "You Are So Beautiful" and a contorted performing style uncannily parodied by John Belushi on "Saturday Night Live," has died. He was 70.

His London-based agent, Barrie Marshall, said Cocker died Monday of lung cancer in Colorado, where he has lived for the past two decades. - See more at:

Memories Jeff! Back when that album came out, the gal who I still consider the love of my life walked away. And I isolated myself and played that album over and over again. It's funny that music becomes such a milepost in the times of our lives - we relate back to particular songs.

After watching John Belushi parody Cocker on SNL back in the day, I never would have guessed that Cocker would have outlived Belushi by 30+ years. RIP Joe.

I was lucky enough to be able to see Joe Cocker 3 times between 1971 and about 1980..... Love his music....
