If someone with very little experience wanted a part time job, can anyone come up w/ ideas for jobs that would allow for searching through coins while working ::)
My ideas are:
Bank Teller
Fast Food
Retail Cashier

Any other ideas....Who are the guys that take change out of soda machines?
(keep in mind that I dont have much experience and am not looking full time)

FYI most vending machines will not accept old coins due to the weight difference. So unless you want alot of clad, don't bother with the vending machines.

Casinos and concession stands are great places to aquire coins.

I used to work at a liquor store. Lots of change especially from the regulars buying pints at 9am.
I one got $4 in mercury dimes from a regular pint buyer.

arcade
bowling alley

i work at a retail store in the cash office. i usually go through a couple thousand in change a night. my job is a full time one tho, we dont have any part time positions like that in our store.

I am a vending collector and find silver quarters every now and then. I might have about a roll and a half of them after about ten years.. I don't have the time to really search that much but every now and then I will see one in with all the clad.. Remember quarters may yield the least amount of silver and quarters are pretty much the only coins we use. I don't know many vender's who would hire part timers to count their money but it's possible.. You don't just collect, you count it and split it with the owner of whoever store your machines are in. most cases are a 50/50 split for like juke boxes, pool tables, and a percentage like 30% of sodas.
