I'm interested in looking into exploration as a career but i dont know where to start. Are there any businesses out there who hire or do I need to start out on my own?

"Exploration" is a very broad term.Care to narrow it down some? What would you be exploring?

I'm mostly interested in sea exploration and shipwreck/treasure recovery, but i definatly wouldn't mind poking around some ancient ruins or other things like that. Are there companies that offer these jobs/careers and if so, what are they? Any and all information would be more than useful. Thanks for your time.

I'm only a senior in highschool right now and i'm going to be going into the air force in september for 6 years. when i get out i'm wanting to go to college but my question is this. Are there any special fields i need to study or should I just look at anthropology? This is something I've wanted to do my whole life and it seems now would be a good time to get your guys' information on the subject and see what comes up.

Thanks alot to the both of you! I too am a PADI certified diver and that just sparked my interest even more. Sounds like your son and I have a little in common along those lines. The only difference is I know a little german and plan on brushing it up here in the future. I appreciate all your help and good luck to you both.

Greetings from tucson, First I'd like to congradulate you on your choice to join the armed services. If your choice on the Air Force is not set on paper yet you may want to consider the Navy as a diver (Not SEAL) deep sea salvage is one of their specialties. Just my 2¢

I actually did go talk to the navy recruiter about that but it was before I even got certified as a diver and I had already signed my papers for Air Traffic Control in the airforce so its a little too late. If I'm not mistaken, the Air Force also has something along those lines too but I'm not sure.

you are not government proprety unless you graduate bootcamp. even down to the last day. change services now if that is what you wish and if you think it will help you better down the road.
