Hi everyone.

Two Jewish items.
First is a stamp (seal), second one is a small badge (might be silver), no hallmarks.
I do not collect such a stuff, but I'd like to know what is it, before I'll sell it.
I filled the stamp with NIVEA creme - it's easier to see the letters.

Pozdrawiam Matejko

Helps, rcuya. But I'm not quiet sure if I understand it properly.

Tell me, if letter Alef is silent is it like with letter "K" in word "KNIFE" ?
You can see it, but you do not pronounce it.

If it is so, then on a seal is a number "121" - I think... ::)
Tell me, am I right?

With hebrew the vowels go below or to the side of the other letters so alef is silent but you can put vowels under it. Not all hebrew is written with the vowels because all hebrew words are made up off different roots. Roots are 3 letters with different letters to make the word have a slightly different meaning, like to change eat to ate. Most people can see the words without the vowls and tell what the root is and understand the meaning of the word.

As for the stamp being 121 it would be written 100+20+1 not 1+2+1. So I don't think it could be numbers.

So...

Then probably on this stamp are just initial of the owner.
Thanks for your time and help, rcuya.
