I have a small ring with ten rose colored hearts on a whitish band. It is size 5 and half weighs only 2.14 grams.
Hallmark is 950 18K.
I have never seen a piece with more than one hallmark. Is this a common practice?

I hope it is gold on platinum, but research says 950 in some countries could be silver. Is there a way to test it without acid or electronic testers? Do the pen testers actually work? I know a good tester would cost me more than the ring is worth, even if it was platinum!

Thank-You!

Could it be a combination gold and silver or gold and platinum? http://www.artbreak.com/work/show/213429-atlantis-ring-gold-950-silver-18k-anitamoran

Kellyco sells a gold test kit solution or you can mix your own chemicals.
