Your first pic looks like the front - but there is the strange looking attachment on the lower right

The first picture is the front and I have no idea what that attchment on the front would have been. Maybe it held something that hung off of it.

Could it be a suspender buckle and parts are broken off at any of these points? Here is a pic of some of BB's suspender clips to compare..
