Assuming the coin is real, that's a keeper !! It's called an Off Center error and those with a greater percentage 'missing' are worth more; even moreso when the date is readable. Great find !

It got me wondering that if you had it slabbed would they also give it a full step designation?? :dontknow:

Anybody ever seen a slabbed, full step off-center error?

The Red Book gives the Jefferson Off Center value at $12. Slabbing the coin through a professional grader will give it authenticity (or not); but only in the eyes of the buyer will such authenticity and grading increase its value. Moreover, the cost of the certification may be greater than the resultant value.
