I obtained this celt from Ben Thompson July 29 2005. Orville Muir found this celt in 1970 in Jefferson County Missouri.
No damage, perfect bit.
Ben teamed up with fellow collector Cameron Parks, around 1970, to continue the Who’s Who in Indian Relics series started by Hubert Wachtel in 1960. Together they published Volume 3 in 1972 and Volume 4 in 1976. After the unexpected passing of Cameron Parks in 1978, he went on with the help of his wife, Marcia (Fig. 1), and published Volumes 5 (1980), 6 (1984) and 7 (1988).
Ben served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Greater St. Louis Archaeological Society in 1964 and 1965. Ben served as Editor-in-Chief of the Central States Archaeological Journal from 1966-1971 and Managing Editor of the CSAJ in 1971-1972.
