Whitetail deer. I have a mandible I found in the woods that is virtually identical to yours
Unless it's a bigfoot jaw :munky2:

I agree with JuJu & Bling. I had a couple in Colorado. A friend painted a mountain scene on one that I gave away as a gift.

Absolutely end of guessing. lol Sorry you bet your ranch Nick. Ive also seen tons of them in the woods and removed at hunter check stations. You can tell the deers age by the teeth. http://mdc.mo.gov/hunt/deer/age/

Here in the South Florida Everglades region, when a deer is harvested, it needs to be checked at a hunters check station and marked on the hunters licsense because only 2 are allowed per hunter per year. The deer is weighed, measured and a jawbone is removed for study. If the deer head is to be mounted, an envelope is provided and the hunter is asked to mail in one jawbone. The organs, such as the liver, may also be voluntarily brought to the check station for study. I dont know what other states do.
I also see them in the woods. For some reason the jawbones do not rot as fast as the other bones. I find them in the woods after panther kills or other unfortunate occurances... maybe some natural deaths.

I didnt realize that a horse is very similar. The horse teeth appear different though. :icon_study: One thing I learned is that Whitetail Deer are browsers, not grazers. They are also surprisingly good swimmers that are at home in the Everglades. In the Florida Keys, deer are known to swim in saltwater from one island to the next, in search of a nutritious food source. They are such an amazing species.

Why not just overboil the sea horsies till mushy, then they need not be de-boned? Or take all ingredients including horsies and put together in blender on high speed, then pour into 4 oz. snifters add ice and enjoy...... NGE

so dat be a deer -- they go at night out to eat sea oats and other plants by the sea -- or go into the salt water to get debugged and heal up scraps and cuts --salt water works great for that

:D OK, so I might have substituted "Sea Horse" where the chicken belonged. I can't imagine de-boning enough sea horses to get a pound of meat... since I can't even de-bone a haddock. :P A Sea Cow (Manatee) on the other hand I might be able to manage.
