I do not have the proper tools for a window. I don't think one is needed but ?? Also, I didn't want to chip a piece off , I like the look.

All you need is to chip of an edge to show the fresh surface. Use eye protection & gloves.
So no need to do any "window".

Jasper seems plausible. Note the waxy luster on some spots.
