A friend of mine was at one of the jasper quarries on private land and gave me 2 soccer ball size pieces . These were full of cavities lined with tiny crystals of many colors, quite pretty but not very good for making points. The better quality jasper quarries are protected and it's illegal to take specimens from there. Lehigh/Berks Co. jasper can be found in just about any color and varigated jasper has interesting pattern of colors. I've seen brown, black and white on the same artifact. Some other colors are yellow and green. From what i've seen the dark brown jasp. is the highest quailty. In the pic. i am showing a jasper blade with quartz lined veins running through it.

That's is beautiful jasper. My dark brown is definetly the best. We have a couple jasper points with blue in it.

Those are some nice colors. So far I have been finding some nice Jasper in pieces but nothing made into artifacts. Just the black and some white that might be jasper it feels greasy.
