Sorry no pic, but I gave the item to the property owner. I'm trying to identify an item I found today, a metal jar lid similar to Mason Jar lid with the initials L (large flowing letter) then smaller E in the middle, then larger F at the end, same size as the L....so LEF. Property is from late 1800s, which is what the writing style looks like. Any ideas? Seems odd that this would be a product name, rather seems it should be a person's initials, but was this common for items stored in a jar. As far as we know, there was no property owner with these initials. Any help appreciated. Thanks. (Found in Valdosta, Georgia...lid appears to be copper or brass)
