I found this for $4 at the beach TS. This is an area with big bucks. It is painted silk with silver thread embroidery accents. It has a bamboo frame and an old label on the back. Any help with the signature would be appreciated.

Hi Don,
From the limited Chinese characters I can read,
I don't understand the first character but the second means 'peak' so
I don't think this is a signature but a name or a place. Japanese Kanji signatures usually have long names, like 4 or more characters. Chinese signatures are usually 2-3 characters. But this definitely Japanese style. Nice find!:headbang:
