Japanese Shipwrecks in Canada BC

GFH:
In the Appendix to Gibbs' book "Shipwrecks of the Pacific Coast" third printing 1981) he lists shipwrecks back to "about 1550". His first report of a Chinese 'junk' lost on this coast occured in 1815, then another in 1820 and a third in 1833.

Based on his book and on other points of view on this forum and through other discussions I am open to the idea of feasible existence of wrecks along the BC coast from Chinese to Spanish, I need to look for the topic posted here last year, do you recall the topic, I think the TH guys name was Hmmm or something along these lines, and Old Cracker, Im interested in BC Wrecks. GFH:
For starters, you may wish to take a look at one of J.A. Gibbs' other books, "Shipwrecks off Juan de Fuca". Inside both the front and back covers, he lists 204 wrecks in the area, including many on or off the southern shore of Van. Is.
