Thanks for viewing these. If anyone wants to share knowledge about the heel pieces that would help as I am unsure about their position in time. There is some later WW2 soldier material scattered around the area in the vicinity.

I think the heel pieces may be the front and back of a padlock. Nice finds!

I'm sure you know but never throw anything away until "Positive" it's trash.
