2012 was my first year detecting and I found a total of 13 silver coins. I matched that in my first month of 2013! Here are my notable finds:

$18.24 in clad
22 wheat pennies
1907 V Nickel
1908 V Nickel
3 unknown date Buffalo Nickels

Silver
1906S Barber Half Dollar
1944S Walking Liberty Half Dollar
1950D Franklin Half Dollar

1929 Standing Liberty Quarter

7 Merc's: 1917, 1929D, 1940, 1942D, 1942D, 1943S, and 1944D
2 Roosie's: 1947D and 1963D

Awesome! My dad lives outside of San Antonio and hasn't found anything but garbage. I have to plan a trip out there to show him out to do it right. Gotta be good stuff waiting under the ground for him.

Nice digging buddy ..This may be a dumb question, What makes some of your silver coins blackend? Of the ones ive dug all looked normal [silver] except 1 that was pretty much white or an egg shell color ,this was a Mercury dime found in a lake . Good luck this month too . Davers

The black ones have been underwater. The lakes are down so I'm hunting the shoreline.
