It was a muddy day, I sank knee deep with every step. I was done with my hunt and thought I would trudge over to my bird point spot in the field. 200 yards through the mud and walked right up on the tri notched Cahokia (notice the dog track in that insitu) I found that one and I headed for solid ground. Uhhhh what a work out. here's what I found. John

Dang John, you are killing me with all that eye candy.

Are you going to C-ville this year?

Joel

Thanks Joel. I will be at the Collinsville show. Hope to see you there. John

Man........I am lucky to pick up that many points in a year. Congrats!

Awesome John. You mopped up.

That's gotta be the best insitu post I've seen. You got some killers. Did you spot that site form the air?

Good Luck
Randy

Great hunt and pictures. I say 20lbs of mud on each foot was worth it.
Nice finds.
TnMtns

Thanks Pick, Chuck, SRV. Joel nobody wants to see the personal find collections anymore, it seems people go to shows to see the best examples of point types, and I have tons of field grade points.
Thank you 37, and Jeff S. Randy I have flown over this site many times and it looks better from the air. I have made it a point to fly up and down this river. I am looking for the paleo sites.
Tnmtns, I have beeen layed off for a few weeks deer season and snow have kept me from doing it. the creeks and rivers are full again with the snow melt.So i can only field hunt. It doesnt take long for a guy to get out of shape, and I am sore as hell.
Guys I remember when I would walk for 8 hours straight and find one clappy point, if that. I just sometimes have good hunts like the rest of you. I can not even tell you guys how many hunts I go on with nothing to show for it. My arrowhead goddess was with me this day, the bald eagles were flying overhead, and I asked her to give me something to show the treasurenet people. (do you guys ever do that?) Thank you all for the good words, and may you have a great hunt soon.
