Jade?

Found these two items wrapped in a cloth stuck inside wall. Was wondering is it jade and the other one, is it ivory? Anybody know what they are? How old?

sure, why not? but you need tho know, a lot of stones go by the name "jade"...to see if yours is precious jade, take it to a jeweler. looks like an old pin on a silver mount.

It's hard to tell from the pic what the piece on the left might be -- possibly bone, possibly Bakelite, etc. Perhaps a well lit close-up, front and back, will show more detail.

And the pre-Columbian style brooch appears to be dyed onyx, sometimes referred to as 'Mexican Jade', however, it is not a true jade. The setting on this place is likely silver, which often has a high fineness as typical of the period (circa 1940s).

Really cool wall find...I am curious to learn more about them as well...looks like bone and jade to me
