Very hard to tell from photo if is is jade or not, looks ceramic to me, if it has translucence it is more likely to be jade; does light show through it at all ? You could put a strong torch inside it. If no light shining through it's probably ceramic, if light is coming through very brightly then it's probably glass. Whichever, it looks like a beautiful item and worth taking to an expert.
