if it is a resin cast fake a hot needle will penetrate.not a definitive test for a gem,but can eliminate a cheap phony.check out link below to tell if jade.no one can tell you from photos,just not possible.a jeweler could help you if in his hands.

looks like "god" to me...fake as in what?..fake jade? lots of stone goes by "jade" but typically it is either jadeite or nephrite.

Its real regardless of the material.

Possibly you need to determine what the material is before you attempt to classify it.

By the way, the symbol is CHAI, which means life.
