Jade soapstone? Sake cup

Anyone know anything abut this? Paid 1$ tiny chip when I scrape it, it feels like soapstone.

If it scratches easily with a pocket knife, it's soapstone.

Not really a typical shape for a sake cup though, is it? Looks more like a goblet.

Well the writing on the bottom is Korean, at least the writing on the rim of the circle is definitely Korean, the middle strip the writing looks more Chinese to me. I can't read Korean or Chinese at all but I know it when I see it. Korean writing has those circles in the symbols and you don't see that in Japanese or Chinese.
