I've been in a rut, today was a punch in the face.

Congrats on digging the coins. Which state did you dig them in? I keep low expectations, if I dig a wheat, I'm not skunked for the day.

Nothing wrong with a hunt like that. I've come home many times with a lot less.
Be thankful your healthy enough to hunt.

Just getting out to swing is a win! you'll have better days :icon_thumright:

Hang in there, it will get better. A lot of my hunts I get no wheats, you got 2. That’s a good hunt!

I am, I just like to keep my sense of humor going... I'm quite happy with it. It was just so funny to hit all pre 60s with pennies and then hit 65 and 66 with quarters.

Better than a sharp stick in the eye! But I do feel your post '64 pain...O how many 1965 and 1966 quarters I dug before finally striking silver (and there was TWO in the hole!)...hang in there, keep swinging and hit those older yards, no matter how small. Ddf

ive had plenty of days worse than that in my 40+ yrs at this
if there are wheats - gotts be some silver out there - good luck

You've got enough for a cheeseburger [emoji488]! Hey I save all my clad in a big glass milk container. When it fills up, I cash it in and on average have been getting about $150. And each hunt is typically like your last. Some junk and less than $1 in clad haha! It'll always get better bud. Hang in there and HH [emoji106]🏻

If this hunt is a punch in the face then I must be kicked in the groin quite frequently! Wheaties are keepers. Perhaps not very "glamorous" but, they are like a 12 inch bass in a tournament. They qualify. You can cull them out by sending those Wheaties to me.

On Friday I went out for a late night 3 hour hunt to a park I thought would have some potential (old atlas had a farm house there but probably under parking lot). All I got was a Garrett bag full (actually full) of bottle caps, junk and one penny (1979). Even your clad gives me envy this time around.

I probably should have wore my brown pants because the big a&&ed coywolf (it's a thing here, look it up) that snuck up on me had me reaching for the Lesche and a roll of TP. Foxes sneaking up on me in the dark when I'm alone I can handle. These start to take me out of my comfort zone...

Heck yeah....that's a fine haul...with the right permission on some nice old ground you'll be digging up the 'banners'....GL out there.

Punch in the face? Nah....you had a successful hunt it looks like to me. You left with finds in your bag. Coins at that. It can't always be what you find. It has to be that you hunted. The fact that you found something, regardless of the what, is a success. It's the hunt and the hope of that "treasure" (whatever that is to you) that keeps us out there looking every chance we get. Remember.....its the hunt and the anticipation that hooks us. If it were just the "finds", most of us would have given up and sold our high dollar metal seeking gadgets long ago.

Yeah, back at it today...went to the wheatie spot...the silver has eluded me yet again today...a 1960 nickel was near it but rang up as a 46 on the AT Pro...plus the trash I cleaned up from the park

Oh I get the groin kicks as well lmao...it was just funny to dig all this pre 64 copper...it had me thinking like what are the odds of this hunt? Just ironic I guess.

You found something and had time out detecting, GREAT DAY IN MY BOOK!
