Was wondering what this might be? Found in Lake Erie.

Looks like a marine push button switch that is missing the rubber boot/cover.

Talon, Are we to assume that it's small like a button would be, or is it as big as a spaceship? I'm going to agree with the switch push button ID!

Oh shoot, forgot to put some sort of measuring tool by it. It's around 3.5 inches long by 1.5 inches. It could be a push button, it doesn't move anymore due to sand and grit in it.

It's a thermal switch. When the disk inside gets to a certain temp, it clicks and connects or disconnects the circuit inside. There were electrical connectors on it that have since worn off in the sand.
