A couple friends and I went out today to a new spot. It was hot and muggy and the bugs were just terrible they must have been starving because bug spray wasn't doing anything. I was there all but five minutes when I got my first good signal and it was an 1868 two cent it's a first but it's in bad shape . Sorry the pics are bad. While everyone was complaining to leave I dug one other target it looks to be an old brooch that might have been a cameo maybe? Wasn't there long but I definitely have to go back

I'll take a toasty 2 Cent'r any day over the none that I've found yet. WTG!

Thanks y'all Im happy it has a readable year and it's just awesome I have never seen one before considering they were only minted between 1864 -1872

Nice to get a date off your 2 cent, there must be something good hiding in the area.
