It's snowing!

The view off my front porch right now. Our mountains have been getting pounded, some places have had 18 inches in the last week, and this storm will add least another 18 inches. The ski resorts are smiling already.

Hard to believe I'm still running around down here sweating and in short pants. Guess Winter is on it's way.

We actually had our first snowflakes 3 weeks ago, this is the first time it stuck. We have been colder than normal for the last 5 weeks, and this is the 5th stormy weekend in a row. It got up to 70 yesterday(warmest in 2 weeks) ahead of the storm and we were all thinking it was summer again. Forget a white Christmas, we could have a white Halloween!

Wishful thinking... But then again, I hope it forgets to find Maine as well... WAAAAAAAAAAY too early to be seeing that nasty white stuff. It is beautiful, but only when it is elsewhere...

Thanks Ashleen, I really needed that image. It seem like every every year halloween is freezing, or snowing, or freezing rain, etc. We have to plan costumes accordingly like many of you do. I don't know which way the storm is tracking, but by the end of the week it could be on your doorstep....

Beautiful picture !! I love snow but like SC, I am in shorts and sandals today ! People are still swimming in the ocean here 8)
