I found this in the S.C. low country under a huge oak tree. Its a bracelet made of some kind of wire (copper?) but it has a really detailed hand in the shape of a fist on each end. Has anyone seen any like this before?

It could be African or slave related too. But I don't see the patina for it being i the soil under a tanic acid oak tree. It might be a copper rheumatism bracelet.

There was a big patch of white sand under the tree. I don't know if that makes a difference or not. It's just as I found it. I was surprised at the condition myself.
